Jesus challenged his followers to grow, to see opponents as opportunities to grow, to wrap our minds around ever-widening ideas. Jesus invites us to comprehend.

Free Pews and a Dangerous Welcome
Jesus words to Zacchaeus are a shock to the system. At Jesus table there is a seat for everyone. Everyone: Samaritans, Tax Collectors, Women, The Poor, Democrats, Republicans, Pro-Lifers, Pro-Choice folks, Catholics, Presbyterians, Lutherans, heck, there’s even room for Episcopalians.
Never lose heart
The Bible isn’t only relevant to ancient culture. Faith is for times like ours. As much as they were for his disciples, Jesus words are words for us today. God will grant justice. God does hear prayer. Pray, pray without ceasing. If you are busy praying, you will never lose heart.
