Jesus wants to focus his followers longing. He wants to give them peace, but for their sake, for honesty’s sake, he must redefine the term. He must re-orient them, give them new direction. Jesus does not give peace as the world gives peace.

Whose voice gets heard?
Keep the faith. Keep listening to those who are less powerful. Be willing to be corrected. Keep persisting. God will hear you.
The Necessity of the Cross
What is necessary is that Christians face the cross. The crucifixion happened. Still I hope these themes: substitution, liberation, and forgiveness can offer us a glimpse of hope.
