There are preachers out there who preach doctrines and positions about which, they say to the congregation, you can be certain. This morning, I am only certain about a handful of things, and I am certain that certainty is getting us into a great deal of trouble.

This story is a miracle. Thomas, like so many before him, is healed by Christ’s touch. Healed of his grief, of his disbelief. Easter tells us there are Truths which are universal. There are Truths which outlast even the worst news. There is Truth worth believing.
