No situation is ‘Untransfigurable.’

The words of Bishop Tutu: “no one and no situation, is ‘untransfigurable.'” All of creation waits for us to lift the veil, to see the world as God sees the world. To see one another as God sees us, that is indeed a journey.

Because

Jesus shares his sense of Mission, his because using the grand vision of Isaiah. When our mission, our “because” is too small, spirituality can seem trite. The church can become nothing more than a social club. What is your because?

Herod and the Danger of a Single Story

When we remember Jesus, it is important to remember the life and times in which he lived. The story of Jesus is a counter-narrative. When Matthew put together this Gospel, he made sure we understood that right from the beginning, Jesus was a threat to the status quo.
